Welcome to Week 8!
This week we will be working this gorgeous Merry Mantel Scarf by our host Crystal, from Crystalized Designs. This beautiful piece will become a family heirloom for sure. It offers an elegant cover for your mantel and provides a backdrop for all your treasured decorations. I love it for the holidays of course, but really it could be used year round with seasonal displays!

I am having some problems with this pattern. The hook size is 2.75 for thread, which I find too large. I had to go lots smaller for it to look good. On Row 4 it says (3dc, ch3, 3dc) then the next row says this should be a ch5 space. Should row 4 be ch5 or ch3?
Hello, Deanna. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. It should say ch 3 in Row 5 and will be updated on the site and in the PDF. I’ll be checking through the pattern again as well as working up a gauge swatch for the thread and adding that into the post within the day. Again, sorry for the inconvenience. Crystal
