Generally a slouchy is comfortable and stylish and the Fatima Slouchy is no exception. Like it’s coordinating Fatima Poncho, it is full of texture, fun color changes and style, plus this one is topped with a pretty faux fur pompom too!
Like the poncho, this slouchy is made with an easy two stitch combo that results in a pretty textured design when worked in the round. I used Red Heart Chic Sheep by Marly Bird yarn which has great stitch definition. The “knit look” band makes a pretty edge for this hat and allows for a comfortable fit. I’m sure you will want more than one.
I used Chic Sheep Yarn in two colors for the grey sample of this pattern. I love this yarn! It’s soft and great to work with and holds a stitch beautifully. However, this design and stitch combination would look great in many other worsted weight yarns. Red Heart has a nice selection and you may read my yarn reviews HERE.

This hat is worked from the band up. You will work the band in rows, seam it to make a circle, then work rounds in the sides of the band rows, up to the crown. The hat is designed to be a little slouchy, however, if you prefer a beanie, reduce the number of round repeats before the decreases start.

Do you have video tutorials for both Fatima poncho and slouchy? Would appreciate if you can send me link. Thx in advance
I’m sorry, I don’t at this time.
On round 2 how do the hdc, fpdc work in the same stitch? When you go to round 3 and fpdc in the hdc and hdc in the fpdc it seems as they are separate stitches.
On round 2 they are separate stitches too. You hdc 1 stitch, then FPdc the next all around. You see the stitch count for rounds 1 and 2 are the same.
