This month’s X Stitch Challenge crochet pattern is a Dish Buddy.
Add a little fun to dish time with these Dish Bubble Buddies! The textured stitches and loops help scrub off even the toughest messes and because they are made of acrylic they will dry quickly and can be thrown in the washer and drier for easy maintenance too. Make them in lots of different colors for a bright and cheery addition to your kitchen.
And don’t forget to Pin It too!

The Dish Buddies slip onto your hand like a mitt for better control and reduced slippage. I left the cuff fairly loose, but you can adjust it to your preference.
These little helpers aren’t just for dishes — try them out for dusting too! I learned recently that the acrylic fibers attract the dust better than other fibers, so make a few extras for your other cleaning projects.

Just made one in two colors….so cute! Thanks for the pattern!
You are welcome!
These are so cute. Do you think they would be soft enough for little kids to use as facecloths?
Yes, you can make them in cotton for kids.
I like your pattern and thank you for access to it. As to acrylic or cotton, either would do the trick and both air-dry quickly. I seldom leave a note online anymore and I’ve not used FB for over 3 years. I do use Pinterest to see what everyone is making these days. Your pattern is cute and useful. I would think they would sell well at craft fairs… at least I hope they do. 🙂 Good luck with your crochet and follow your ideas; you’re on the right track. 🙂 Going by the photos, your work has “quality” and that is a hard quality to fake. Best Wishes.
Have you tried using these? Usually scrubbies or dish cloths are made of cotton because they absorb & scrub well. It doesn’t seem that acrylic yarn would do the job well. Not trying to be too critical just curious. Thanks. They are super cute though.
Yes, I thought the same thing too so I would challenge you to try one, it made a believer out of me!
Hi, I was wondering if you could make these in cotton instead of acrylic for dishes also? Thanks for sharing such a beautiful pattern, you are so talented..:)
Yes, of course, I’m sure they would be great in cotton too!
I need to get busy and make these, I love them but we been so busy moving. Thanks so much for the pattern!
Do you have a video of this? I love how this looks, but I do better with a video showing me… thanks
I’m sorry, at this time I do not have videos but rest assured they are on my list of things to do….if only I could find some more time! LOL
I love these little guys – what a great idea ♥
Thanks – they are fun to make and fun to use!
Thank you!
