This is a free crochet pattern for little leg warmers. These leg warmers were designed to coordinate with the Sweetheart Cloche and just like the hat, the body of the leg is worked in a basic double crochet cluster. Really it is like working dc2tog, but the stitches are worked in-between the stitches of the previous round versus in the traditional spot. I made the cuff band and tied a bow at the ankle in a contrasting color for interest, but truly they look lovely in a single color too.

With Contrasting Color, cut yarn strand long enough to go around ankle and tie bow. Weave in skipped stitches of Border Round. Tie in place. WARNING: Loose ties can pose a chocking risk. To avoid baby removing tie fold it in half and tie in place with a knot in the back of the leg warmer, then weave each side to the front to form the ends for making the bow.

Hello Maria,
I am working on a swatch to get the correct gauge and I have a question.
When I’m working the clusters, do I chain 1 in between each cluster?
Thanks
Mary
No there is no chain between the clusters. You will work the Cluster in the space between each Cluster.
I want to make the leg warmers, but can not find anywhere with how many stitches to start?
I’m not sure I understand your question. Each of the sizes has a starting chain for the ribbing at the knee which is where the legging start. See Row 1 for Ribbing at Knee section.
