And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care….
It’s time to think about hanging those stockings so they’ll get filled on Christmas Eve. Work up this colorful, fun and easy pattern for everyone in the family. These make great gift bags too, who wouldn’t like a bottle of wine or bubbly wrapped in one of these pretty stockings? Or fill them with candy or other treats for a quick gift for the mail carrier, babysitter and more!
The stocking is designed in worsted weight yarn so it works up very quickly and the heel is very easy to make so don’t fret, it’s all easy and fun!

Abbreviations:
beg – beginning
ch – chain

hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st(s) – slip stitch(es)
st(s) – stitch(es)
tog – together
Special Stitch: Cluster – 2 dc in same stitch or space
Notes:
- Weave ends as you work
- Ch1 at beginning of row does not count as stitch
- Number in ( ) at end of Round indicates the number of stitches in that Round
- Join rounds with a slip stitch to the first stitch of the round.
- You can fasten off at each color change or carry the unused yarn along the inside to minimize weaving ends.
- Third Loop: Where noted, certain rounds of this pattern are worked into the third loop, which is found on the back of the HDC stitch. This is the strand of yarn that runs horizontally just below the back loop. For a helpful video check out this tutorial on Moogly http://bit.ly/1PRjR0n

Ok I’m lost. In row 7 it says you end with 32 stiches .in row 8 it says to cluster then skip 1 .my issue is if you skip 1 all the way around than your left with 16 stiches not the 32 it says you’ll have. Am I wrong and if so guid me please.
Thank you
Jackie smith
Each cluster is 2dc, so you are making 2sc in one st, and skipping the next, this will give you the same number of stitches in the end – 32.
