The Charmed Fingerless Gloves are the coordinated companions to the Charmed Cloche and the Charmed Cowl. This is an easy stitch repeat that creates such a soft and eye pleasing texture. I designed the gloves in two sizes, but you can easily size the for your preference!
I used Red Heart Soft yarn for this sample but any medium weight worsted will work.
Red Heart has a nice selection of new yarns this season.

Instructions

Materials:
- Light Worsted Weight yarn such as Red Heart Soft, approximately 125 yards
- Hooks: US J/6.00mm ; US K/6.60 mm
- Tapestry needle for weaving ends

Gauge: 10 dc (in stitch pattern) x 5 rows = 4”
Abbreviations (US Terms):
BP – back post
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
FP – front post
hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st(s) – slip stitch(es)
st(s)– stitch(es)
YO – yarn over
Notes:
- Weave ends as you work
- Ch 1 at beginning of round does not count as a stitch.
- Join rounds with a slip stitch to the first stitch of the round (not the beginning chain). Start each round in the join.
- Number in ( ) at end of round indicates the number of stitches in that round.

Cuff:
Round 1: With 6.50 mm hook, ch 25 (30), join with sl st to first ch to form circle, ch1, working in back bump of chains, hdc in each ch to end, join with sl st to first st. (25, 30 throughout)
Round 2: With 6.00 mm hook, ch1, [FPdc around next st, BPdc around next st], repeat between [ ] to end, join with sl st to first st.
Round 3: Ch1, [FPdc around next FPdc, BPdc around next BPdc], repeat between [ ] to end, join with sl st to first st.
Rounds 4 to 6: Repeat Round 3
Palm:
Round 1: Ch1, sc in each st to end, join with sl st to beg sc.
Round 2: Ch3 (counts as dc throughout), 3dc in next st, dc in next st, skip 2 sts, [dc in next st, 3dc in next st, dc in next st, skip 2 sts], repeat between [ ] to end, join with sl st to first st.
Round 3: Sl st into next st, ch3, 3dc in next st, dc in next st, skip 2 sts, [dc in next st, 3dc in next st, dc in next st, skip 2 sts], repeat between [ ] to end, join with sl st to first st.

For Small/Medium:
Rounds 4 and 5: Repeat Round 3.
Round 6: Sl st into next st, ch3, 3dc in next st, dc in next st, [skip 2 sts, dc in next st, 3dc in next st, dc in next st] 2 times, skip 2 sts, dc in next st, 3dc in next st, *dc2tog as follows: [YO, insert hook in next st, YO, pull loop through st, YO, pull through two loops* (two loops on hook), skip 2 sts, repeat between * once (3 loops on hook), YO pull through all 3 loops at once], ch5, skip remaining sts, join with sl st to first st.– thumb opening made. (See Figure 1)
Round 7: Repeat Round 3 working into the ch5 thumb opening (I worked into the individual chs, but you may work into the ch space if you prefer).
Round 8: Repeat Round 3. Fasten off.
For Medium/Large:
Rounds 4 to 6: Repeat Round 3.
Round 7: Sl st into next st, ch3, 3dc in next st, dc in next st, [skip 2 sts, dc in next st, 3dc in next st, dc in next st] 3 times, skip 2 sts, dc in next st, 3dc in next st, * dc2tog as follows: [YO, insert hook in next st, YO, pull loop through st, YO, pull through two loops* (two loops on hook), skip 2 sts, repeat between * once (3 loops on hook), YO pull through all 3 loops at once], ch5, skip remaining sts, join with sl st to first st.– thumb opening made.
