throughout this pattern does the ch2 space count as a hdc?
No it does not, only in the beginning chain where it is noted.
Is this pattern yet available in a smaller size? I’m hoping to make a small newborn size.
Just the sizing as posted on the website.
Adorable pattern. Think I’m not understanding something, though. I’m making the 6-12 month size. Chaining 57 stitches doesn’t give me enough length to complete 4 corners . In other words my neckline isn’t a perfect square. The corners look great but there’s only enough stitches to make three of them plus part of one side. Do I attach the neckline to the back so that it gets finished off when you do the buttons?
I hope I’m explaining this well.
The 57 stitches will give you 4 ch2 spaces that form the corners, three sides with 15 stitches each, 8 stitches to start (including the skipped chains at the beginning) plus the 7 stitches at the end. That’s 60 stitches total + 4 ch2 spaces
The back is split in half to allow for a button closure at the end.
In the size 6-12 months, I have completed up to and including row 7. It says I should have 108 stitches, but I have only 84.
Please be sure that you completed the correct number of repeats. Each repeat row increases stitch count by 8 and there are 5 increase rows (rows 3 through 7).
Hi, I was hoping you could help me with the gauge on this pretty dress. I just wanted to clarify, I keep getting a gauge that is too long on one side and short on the other. I have tried using different sized hooks and tension, the result is the same. I am using a 4, worsted weight yarn.
That can happen as we all crochet differently. I would go with the hook that gets you closest to stitch count and then adjust the length by adding or reducing rounds to get to where you want it. Hope that helps.
Can you help me make this dress in 24 months for a one year old? Do you have a similiar dress pattern for the butterfly kisses dress in 24 months? Thanks
I’m sorry, I don’t have this pattern in different sizing at this time.
I didn’t understand row 7
Could you please help me?
Thank you
I assume you are making the smaller size, so that’s what I’ll answer:
This round is where you establish the openings for the armholes, so basically, what you are doing is crocheting to the first corner (ch2 space) then skipping a bunch of stitches which will become an armhole, then joining again in a corner, working along the front and then repeating the same process for the second armhole. I think if you take each step and repeat one at a time, it will become clearer.
Hope that helps!
I’m very like this patterns , thank you
You are welcome 🙂
