Sunset Blush Hat and Scarf Set
With the holidays behind us, it’s time to take a break and focus on US! This Sunset Blush Hat and Scarf Set was designed with that in mind. It’s an easy set that works up quickly, and looks great in so many different yarn options. Choose a self striping yarn like I did for rich, and easy color changes or choose a solid for more vibrant stitch definition.
I chose Yarn Bee Fair Isle in the color Sunset Bluff. It is listed as a DK or light worsted yarn and has a light feel to it, with nice drape, that is still warm and luxurious. I chose a simple variation on a basic shell stitch for the pattern for a little textural interest, while allowing the color variations to shine through.
I hope you pamper yourself and make and enjoy this set.
I’m thrilled to have this set included in the 2018 Make It For Me series, don’t forget to check out all the other Make It For Me projects.

I am having trouble with the decrease row 11.
I have the 24 shells on row 10.
I did the beginning shell , then made a shell in the next 3 spaces,
This is where I am doing something wrong,
2 dc in next space,
then ch 2
sc. in next space. .
At end I don’t have 20 shells,
What could I be doing wrong?
I’m not sure, it’s hard to identify without seeing your work. You should have 24 ch2 spaces from the previous round. Each repeat uses up 6 ch2 spaces and includes a decrease, so in the 24 ch2 spaces there are a total of 4 decreases. Perhaps you miscounted the ch2 spaces.
