It’s hard to believe that Fall is upon us and Christmas just around the corner. It’s time to start crocheting all those holiday gifts for friends, loved ones and home decorating.
The Criss Cross Stocking will get you in the mood. The Celtic weave makes for a highly textured design that works up quickly and the pattern includes instructions for a 12″ and 16″ stocking with two different cuff options.
Take advantage of the special $3.99 release price in my Ravelry shop through Friday, September 26th, 2014 (midnight eastern) – no coupon code necessary!
Try it in a traditional colors scheme or glitter yarn for a little sparkle.
For some unexpected fun, make brightly colored ones too!

I’m having issues with the puff stitch cuff. Working with the stocking inside out seems to make the puffs on the wrong side of the cuff. No problems when I did the overlapped x stitch cuff. Is there a mistake?
Hmm, it looks like you are correct. I will issue a correction to the pattern when I return from vacation. Sorry for any confusion and thanks for letting me know.
im having a problem with the start of the leg. some how im coming out with 12 sets of cross stitches. i have no idea how im doing this. before the heel i had 11. then i did the heel and started on the leg i have the 5 set of cross stiches on the heel but some how im getting 7 when when i start back on the top of the foot.. 🙁
Sorry you are having trouble Cassie, you are likely adding an extra repeat somewhere. I’m not sure how to help, perhaps if you sent me a picture of your work I could see if something stands out. You can email to me at [email protected]
I bought this the second I saw it on Facebook about a week ago. LOVE it and can’t wait to make some!
Thanks so much!
Hello, I love this pattern and have a question on row 5 of the toe section. The instructions say “hdc 3 hdc”. Is this typo? If not, am I supposed to do one hdc in the first stitch followed by a hdc in each of the next three stitches? In other words, 4 hdc’s across? Or is it just supposed to be “3 hdc” total? Thanks for your help!
Janele
So sorry about the confusion, yes there is a word missing. It should read
“hdc next 3 hdc”
i would like to know how difficult it is to make before i purchase it. thank you.
Hi there. My testers rated this as intermediate or dedicated beginner. The crossed stitches can be tricky until you get the hang of them, however, I include a photo tutorial as well as a link to a video which will help you see how to execute the stitches. Hope that helps 🙂
Yes before I buy this pattern..I would like to know of I can make and sell if I have a link to your website?
Thank
Candice
