Don’t you love fun crochet tips?
If you are like me, you take your crochet everywhere, just in case there are a few minutes somewhere in your day where you can work just one more row in your project …. perhaps while waiting for an appointment, or watching a little league game, or……..
To organize crochet supplies for travel, I use a toothbrush holder and clear makeup case. Place your hooks in the toothbrush holder to keep them clean and safe. Add other essentials such as a ruler, scissors and other small supplies. I made a small crocheted pad where I keep pins, stitch markers, and my yarn needles too. Don’t forget hand lotion to keep your skin soft.
Place everything in the makeup case and GO!

I’m using a case for cosmetic brushes to hold my travel plastic hooks all different sizes in there instead of the brushes. In the space of the biggest brush I put the sciccors and in the smallest space my yarn needle. Before I roll it together I make sure the roll of measuring tape is enclosed. Works perfect for me and is always prepared for emergencies 😉
Thank you for this great tip. I do have my crochet supplies in a cloth pencil holder but my hooks are all loose; a friend gave me a plastic syringe holder but since I have been using it for over 15 years, the top falls off and my hooks come out. I have tried to get another one because I can fit quite a few hooks in it, but cannot find one. From now on, I will place them in a toothbrush holder.
Awesome idea! I might try it when I go to Florida is August. ~ Megan
Like the travel kit for crochet, there is nothing like having to wait and no hook to go with the project you have with you
