Welcome to week #3 of the July Crochet-Along featuring the Stitch ‘n’ Style Handbag hosted by Wendy from The Hooked Haberdasher, Janaya from Charmed by Ewe and me!
We hope you are having fun so far. We are excited to see your work in progress each week and are excited to announce that we will have a prize drawing at the end of the CAL after the final reveal. Details will follow, but just to tease you a little, here are the prizes. ~Maria~
So let’s recap, in Week 1, Wendy hosted and shared two stitch patterns with us, the Diagonal Spike and the Ridged String Network.
In Week 2, Janaya hosted and shared another two stitch patterns, the Spatter Stitch and Boxed Puff Stitch.
In Week 3, I’ll show you how to join them to create the side of the bag. Let’s get started.Lay out your squares, right side up and play with the placement until you are satisfied. You may block your squares if you like but I found that once you join them and put a border on they smooth out nicely. I do recommend blocking once your side is complete.

I’ve only just come across your CAL now, the bag is beautiful. Can you tell me what yarn and colors are used in the 3rd bag? (With the green bag edge) I haven’t crocheted along yet but would love to make this. Thanks 🙂
Hi there, thank you. The bag was made with #3 category weight yarn, for the green it was Brava Sport
Thank you 🙂
