InLinkz Link Parties
As a blogger, I’m always looking for tools to make my life a little easier and to provide my readers with an easy way to interact with me and each other. After all, the whole point of blogging is to develop relationships, communicate information, collaborate on topics and to share it all with a large audience while having fun! The more we share, the more we all learn, right? So it is no surprise that I find InLinkz to be a valuable tool in my blogging toolbox.
What is Inlinkz?
Inlinkz is a service that has been around since 2011 and has been tested and used by thousands of bloggers to host Link Parties and Blog Hops for collaborations, challenges, contests, giveaways and more. The service is now re-launched with new and improved functionality, so this is a great time to check it out!

What is an InLinkz Link Party or Blog Hop?
A Link Party (like any party) is a gathering, but instead of a gathering of people in one location (as most parties tend to be), it is a virtual gathering of links to a photo, usually within a given theme. Each party has at least one host blogger and the guests (the people who add their links).
Each guest adds a link to a photo on their blog, social media or other repository that shows up as a thumbnail in the Link Party. Everyone with access to the Link Party can see the submission. A guest can be another blogger or not, depending upon the theme and purpose of the Link Party.
The links are beautifully displayed to make interaction easy and fun!
Why have an InLinkz Link Party?
For the host blogger, a link party can be a great way to:
- Increase reach, pageviews and help build a mailing list
- Guests sharing the link party on their social media, generate traffic to the host’s blog
- Entrants provide and verify their email addresses
- Engage their community and spark interest around their blog
- Inspire and support creativity amongst their audience
- People love to share their content. An InLInkz linkup is like a private mini-Pinterest right inside your own blog!
- Discover new blogs and build new connections with, maybe even make some new friends!
- Strengthen their domain presence which could lead to SEO improvements
For the guest, a Link Party is a great way to:
- Share talent and show off your work!
- Great Links + Great Thumbnails = Great Clicks!
- Build a following if blogging is where you are headed
- Get found for future collaborations, employment opportunities and more
- Enter giveaways
- Make new friends and just have fun sharing with a like-minded community
How do you add a link to an InLinkz party?
To add a link, simply go to the source where your photo resides, this could be a blog, social media post, or even a source like your Ravelry projects. Copy the URL at the top of your browser, then click on the blue link button in the Link Party and paste to the appropriate box. That’s it! I have a quick tutorial below to show you how easy it is.
