There is something very elegant and feminine about a lacy shawl. This one is super easy to make with a very simple stitch repeat. It is very easy to size by simply ending the repeats earlier or making more of them, which means it lends itself to many different yarns. I chose a DK weight merino for my sample and love the color which is a pinkish lilac.Â
I used Cleckheaton Australian Superfine Merino which is a #3 DK weight yarn. I loved using this very soft yarn, it felt so good to work with and is super soft against your skin. The yarn has another cool feature, each ball comes with satin care labels that you can sew into your finished project! Cleckheaton Superfine Merino would work beautifully for garments and I can’t wait to try it in a sweater for my daughter 🙂 The yarn is available in 29 colors via the Red Heart Yarns site.Â
Thank you Red Heart for sponsoring the yarn for this event!
