I’m so excited to partner with five of my crochet designer friends and Premier Yarns to bring you this special Mother’s Day CAL. I will be designing a beach cover-up that could double as a tunic with leggings and a tank or skinny jeans — so fashionable! I’ll give you a look at the pattern in a bit, but I want to tell you about the yarn I used first.
I used Premier Cotton Fair for my cover up, in Turquoise and White. I’ve worked with this yarn before and have always been pleased with the outcome. This time was no different.
Cotton Fair is a blend of cotton and acrylic, which makes it perfect for year-round use. The yarn is soft with a beautiful, gentle sheen. It is smooth to work with and creates nice even stitching with good definition that won’t sag out of shape. This yarn comes in a lovely range of bright solids and multi colors so you are sure to find just the right color for your project. Here are the specs:
- 52% Cotton, 48% Acrylic.
- 3.5 oz/100 g, 317 yds/290m.
- #2 Fine Weight.
- Cool iron. Machine Washable. Dry clean any solvent except Trichloroethylene.
- Crochet gauge, G-6 (4mm) hook: 18 sc & 20 rows = 4” (10.2cm).
- Knit gauge in st st, US 4 (3.5mm) needles: 23 sts & 29 rows = 4” (10.2cm).
