Simple Scarf & Glove Set
Courtesy of Christine Bittner
About 2 years ago, my daughter asked me to teach her to crochet and then knit. I taught her the basics and held her hand through a few projects and then she was off on her own, exploring and learning new techniques. I was amazed at how quickly she learned different skills and soon she was following pretty complex patterns. As we talked about it recently, she commented that she wished there had been more fun, yet simple projects when she was first learning. I suggested that she should try her hand at designing one for future newbies. Well, much to my pleasure, she DID! I’m proud to introduce her first pattern, a simple scarf and fingerless gloves set!
The set is designed in bulky yarn so that the new crocheter will be encouraged by quick progress. The yarn she chose, has a slight variegation for interest and the stitches, while very basic create a nice textured look. It’s designed with beginners in mind, but great for all levels.
I hope you enjoy this pattern and that it is the first of many for my daughter!
