Tranquility Turban Headband
I designed the Tranquility Turban Headband as part of the Spa Basket CAL sponsored by Stitches ‘n Scraps. This fabulous CAL features 12 spa patterns by 12 talented designers. All of the patterns can be used separately or combined into a delightful spa basket, which makes a great gift! The event runs through 12/7/16 so it’s not too late to join in the fun!
I wanted to make my turban headband contribution something that spoke to the feel of the beautiful basket and accessories the other designers have contributed. I chose simple stitches arranged in a uniform, neat way for that spa-like tranquil feel.
The headband is tapered at one end and wider at the other, with a tab to cinch it on the tapered end. This allows the turban headband to be worn two ways, one with tab in front (turban) the other with the tab at the nape of the neck (headband).
However you wear it, this is a great addition to your headwear wardrobe!

This pattern doesn’t work as written. It’s off by 2 on each one because the numbers are not divisible by 6. The child size should be 72, the small adult should be 78, and the large adult should be 84 stitches. Otherwise you have 2 stitches too many to complete round 4 and subsequent rounds.
I’m sorry you had trouble, it actually is correct as written, since the pattern does not have to be a multiple of 12. Round 4 has a 12 stitch sequence at the beginning and end of the round, but the dc between do not follow a multiple. I hope that clears up any confusion.
