As many of you know, our crochet community lost one of our finest last week. Wink from A Creative Being left us too soon, but she leaves a legacy of art and color that will last forever. I did not know her personally but have long been inspired by her work. Her beautiful creations were not only pretty as finished items, but her instructions were beautifully presented too.

This week’s Crochet Finds is dedicated to her vision and work.
Here are some of my favorites.
Of course she is well known for her mandalas and this is just one of my favorites.

I love how this bag is, at the same time bold and subtle,
with the variegated color range she chose.

This was a beautiful tribute to someone who gave of herself to improve the lives of so many!
Like so many of us, I did not know Wink personally, either. But, like you, was so inspired by her work. I thought it was a sick joke when I first read of what happened to her. She will be missed in this crochet community – but her inspiration – her bold use of colors – her beautiful mandalas will go on forever. My sincere condolences to her family. I know all to well the grief of losing a loved one this way.
I hope it’s some consolation to all of the family that Wink inspired so many to improve their own skills – and their own lives.
Thank you, Wink! for all you’ve done for us – all that you gave us – all the talents that you shared with so many!
