I designed this crochet pattern for this sweet little dress and headband last year, to coordinate with the shelly blanket, diaper cover, hat, sweater & booties set. Recently, I was playing with color and yarn and I really love how versatile this pattern is and that you can completely change the look with yarn color or embellishments. You can also shorten the skirt and make this an adorable tunic.
I’ve updated the pattern and it is available at a very special price in my Craftsy shop only. Through Friday, January 2nd, 2015, you can get this beauty for just $3.00 by clicking on the “Add to Cart” button below:
With the weather getting colder, my thoughts were wandering to warm ocean waters and Caribbean breezes and the blues and greens offset by crisp white were the perfect color palette. I love how the different colored rows in the skirt appear to be waves gently crashing on the sand.
There’s no getting around it, girls love pink and this pretty shade of baby yarn seemed appropriate with the simple ribbon and flower applique decorations — pretty and sweet in pink.
And this is the original creamy yellow I made the dress in. I still love this color it reminds me of buttercup flowers growing in a field.
Whatever colors you choose, I hope you enjoy crocheting this sweet little dress as much as I do and that you will share your version on my Facebook page or link up your project to the FAN-tastic Hook-Up Link Party on my blog each Friday.
