The November crochet Chameleon Hat is rich with the colors of Fall and holds the promise of a plentiful harvest. Harvest Gold is a return to the simple silhouette and clean lines of the original Chameleon Hat. I’ve added a pretty sunflower, simply because I like them! I hope you enjoy this one.

What is your definition of a SHELL? I’m thinking 5 hdc to go along with the pattern, but I don’t see any notes here on the page.
Hi there, it’s right in the abbreviations section. In this pattern shell is 5dc in same stitch.
sorry, found it after I asked. had advertisement covering it up. thank you. beautiful hat. cant wait to see how it turns out when i do it.
what size needle is used?
Where do you start crocheting the band at? Do you skip rows are start in the last stitch?
After the last round of the sides for whatever size you are working, you will skip to the Band & Edging section.
Your hat is so adorable! Thank you for sharing the pattern! 🙂
I am confused regarding the sunflower. I am at the last round for the flower, and sorry, have no idea how to start the last petal rnd.
Help
I’m sorry you are having trouble. I just checked the pattern and I had a typo in there. You will work the last layer of the petals (the one in front) in the remaining loop from Round 4 (I had round 3 perhaps that is what was causing the problem). So in other words, you are working the last part of the flower in the remaining loops. Hope that helps!
Such a lovely hat! Gorgeous colors and the flower is so perfect for the style! Thanks for sharing the pattern!
You are very welcome, I’m glad you like it 🙂
