In celebration of my one year blog anniversary, my daughter made me these beautiful stitch markers — I guess she was tired of me using paperclips or whatever scraps I could find. I was so touched by her kindness and thoughtfulness (common for her).
These really are the perfect stitch markers. They are large enough but not too large, have just the right weight balance and the large lobster claw makes them easy to put on and take off. I love them so much I asked her to put together a tutorial so you could all make them too! Below are the basic instructions, but use your creativity and experiment with different options. Â
When you are done looking at the tutorial, don’t forget to go to the bottom of the page for a special surprise giveaway.
Â
To complete, use the crimping tool to flatten crimp bead in place. Cover crimp bead with cover and use crimping tool to close cover. Trim wire close to crimp bead. Voila! Your first stitch marker is complete. Repeat for remaining markers.Â

Truely a thoughtful gift. It’s little things like this gift that makes crocheting more fun. I love unusual crochet supplies, and these markers are very beautiful.
