I love crocheted bags and find myself making a few every summer. This one has a nice stitch combination that is reminiscent of Tunisian crochet, but it isn’t! It has a light and “beachy” feeling with a clutch that hooks on the inside to keep your essentials together and ready for a quick “grab ‘n go”.

With 4th of July around the corner, my thoughts turned to the traditional red, white and blue. I added a large exterior pocket, which is perfect for carrying those little extras and a few stars for holiday spirit!

I designed this bag in worsted weight cotton yarn such as

Lily Sugar n Cream or Red Heart Creme de la Creme.
