I’m so excited…like a kid in a candy store really.
I have joined Elena and a group of women over at Beatrice Ryan Designs for a Crochet A-Long or CAL as they are known. So why am I so excited? I don’t really know, but somehow there is this electric, streaming feeling of anticipation that I can only compare to a child waiting for Christmas. Maybe it is because it is my first CAL or the mystery of not knowing what the end project will look like or maybe it is the weekly wait to see what others will share, all I know is I’m loving it!
Here is how it works….
Elena designed an afghan and provided a basic list of materials. In week 1 she gave instructions for 8 granny squares but assured us this is not a granny afghan.
I chose 6 warm colors to work with. I’m using Caron Country yarn which has a nice drape and pretty sheen and the colors are very rich.
In week 2 we joined them together and added a border.
I am eagerly anticipating my mission for week 3!
If you want to join the fun it is not too late, just head over to Beatrice Ryan Designs for the details. I’ll keep you posted on my progress as the weeks and design unfold!
