Now that the holidays are behind us, we can turn our focus to spring crochet and thoughts of warmer weather. Pantone, the authority on color, has reported that Radiant Orchid is the 2014 color of the year. Well, I am a purple lover from way back, so you can imagine my excitement. I started looking at all the ways I could incorporate radiant orchid into my life, here is what I found…….
There are the obvious fashion applications of course
Makeup, hair and other accessories are a cinch
A touch here and there can brighten the home
It is perfect for weddings and parties too
It looks fabulous on celebrities
And appears in nature too
And for total coordination, you can even weave it into your transportation needs
But when it comes to food, well, let’s just say it isn’t working for me!

Very nice examples of the color of the year!
Thanks! One of my all time favorites too 🙂
I could totally jump on board with this color, but I definitely agree with you when it comes to food… purple isn’t exactly an appetizing color. They (whoever “they” may be) say blue is a color to avoid with food – especially blue plates and cups, and you can’t have purple without a little blue.
I agree!
