Pin The Snug As A Bug Hat And Booties For Later!
If you liked the Snug As A Bug Onesie, you will love the coordinating Hat & Booties!
The hat and booties are easy to make with basic stitches that lend themselves to many color combinations. I combined the colors and light texture form the onesie to make these a pretty set.

The Design:
The hat and booties are very basic for easy fit and then I added the textured stitch to the band and cuffs so these would coordinate seamlessly with the onesie. I added a couple of buttons for a decorative touch, but of course that’s optional. I will say, if you add the buttons, remember they pose a choking risk and children should never be left unsupervised!
The Yarn:
I like acrylic for babies because it is easy wash/wear and it is hypoallergenic. For this pattern, I wanted a worsted weight yarn, but I wanted to make sure it was soft. Red Heart Soft Essentials Baby is a great choice as it is just as soft as the Red Heart Soft Essentials bulky I’ve used before, but in a lighter weight that lends itself better to garments. You can read my yarn reviews HERE, but let me tell you this yarn is great to work with! This yarn has 14 perfect baby colors to choose from and several are coordinates. It’s also easy to coordinate it with Red Heart Soft Essentials if you want to make a thicker blanket too!
If you haven’t seen the coordinating onesie, you can find it HERE,
