The All Tied Up Top couldn’t be simpler to make and more comfortable to wear. I love it in these fun, bright colors but think it would look so elegant in an antique white or dusty rose too.
This “baby doll” styled top is designed to grow with your child. The simple ties at the shoulders and tie closure at the back make it easy to get more than one season’s worth of wear. The textured top section is known as the Trinity Stitch and is easy to make. I found a nice tutorial for you on Oombawka Designs if you have trouble. The bottom is a simple lacy sequence that is easy to customize for length. You could even make it dress length and wear it as a pinafore or work the skirt part in the round for a traditional dress. I love patterns that give you multiple options don’t you?
I’ve sized it in a 2T/3T and 4T/5T, but it is easy to adjust and you should be able to customize to your needs. And, for the cute little flower, see my Little Darlings flower pattern by clicking the picture below.

I was wondering if there is a way that you can explain the size so I can make it for a bigger child please??
PatternParadise says
Explain it how?
Krystal says
What are the colors called that you chose?
PatternParadise says
I’m sorry I don’t recall, however this was a couple of years ago and they may have changed. You should take a look at their website to see what colors are currently available.

This is such a lovely summer top! I’m working on one right now for our Granddaughter. Love this pattern!
So pretty! One question though…..I’m doing the size 2T/3T and am getting 24 1/2″ around (25″ with stretch). I need it more like a 22 1/2″ chain to start (for chest measurement). Using the trinity stitch does the beginning chain need to be a multiple of 3? My gauge is a bit large I guess. Thank you so much for your pattern & for any advice you may have. Thanks! Sandy
PatternParadise says
No, it needs to be a multiple of 2 + 1 for the beginning chain. Regarding your gauge, you could adjust the hook size to down a bit to get to the correct gauge.
