Holiday Cup Cozy!
Here’s another quick gift idea. These playful ‘Ho Ho Ho’ and ‘Jingle’ cup cozies are great for dressing up travel cups or the typical coffee house paper cup. I’ve even added little bells to the “Jingle” cozy for a bit of audible seasonal fun!
The whole cozy works up pretty quickly in front post half double crochet and simple color changes. The graph is easy to follow with each square representing the color yarn to be used. I carried my yarn not in used and worked over it with the “in use” yarn, but if you prefer, you may snip off and weave in ends.

Notes to help you with the chart:
- Pattern written in US Standard terms
- Weave ends as you work
- Rounds 2 through 11 are worked in FPhdc
- Ch1 at beginning of round does NOT count as a stitch.
- Join each round with a sl st in the first FPhdc (not ch1) of each round.
- Pay attention to color changes in graph. To complete clean color changes, work last stitch before new color until there are two loops on hook, pull in new color. You may work over yarn not in use and carry the yarn or snip at each color change and weave ends.
Round 1: With Main Color, ch 33, join with sl st to first ch to form a circle, ch1, work hdc in back bump of each ch to end, join. (33 sts throughout)
Round 2: Ch1, following color sequence on graph and working around each hdc from Round 1, work FPhdc around each st to end, join.
Rounds 3 to 11: Repeat Round 2.
First Borders: Ch1, work Twisted SC (or Crab Stitch) around top edge of cozy. Fasten off.
Second Border: Join yarn in any stitch along bottom edge, ch1, work Twisted SC (or Crab Stitch) around bottom edge of cozy. Fasten off.
Embellish cozy as desired.
