Baby’s Special Tunic
I designed Baby’s Special Tunic for Red Heart Yarns, using their Red Heart Baby Hugs Light yarn. It wasn’t the first time I worked with BabyHugs yarn,  I designed the Peachie Cocoon Baby Set with the light yarn and the Little Miss Pompom Hat with the medium yarn. I love working with both weights of yarn and find they produce a wonderful finished project.Â
Baby Hugs yarn is a soft premium acrylic, works up quickly and comes in a nice selection of happy colors, 18 in fact! It is also tested to be free from harmful levels of over 300 substances which makes it perfect for baby items. .Â
The tunic is worked top down with a simple yoke leading into a textured skirt with a diagonal flair. I added a contrasting color at the waist and trim for some interest and the tunic has a button closure on the back for easy dressing. I really love the way it turned out!
