When I first started crocheting I was amazed by any crochet pattern that featured a three dimensional look, especially afghan squares that had flowers at their center. The Spring Burst Square is my nod to those patterns of long ago that inspired me to refine my crochet skills. Just 20 of these squares would make a beautiful afghan but if you aren’t that ambitious, just one makes a lovely throw pillow!

I love the bold color contrast of this square. It’s made with simple crochet stitches combined to provide visual interest with dimension, texture and curves.
I wondered how this crochet pattern would look in more subtle, earthy tones, and I must say I was pretty pleased with the end result. I think it would even look great in solid colors for a more traditional bedspread or throw.

It’s awesome! Thanks so much! I think two of these squares, lined, attached, and a strap added would make a nice tote!

I Love this pattern thank you, I am having some trouble with row 12, I ended up having to skip 4 spaces between the v stitches on the sides to get the 7 clusters, it looks fine.
