12 Weeks of Christmas CAL 2017
#12WeeksChristmasCAL

Welcome to Week 7!
We are now into the second half of our #12WeeksChristmasCAL projects! This week we will be working on the Mysteria Wrap. I love this wrap. It has an arched shape which is flattering around the shoulders or neck and an interesting pointed border. It feels luxurious and warm and works well as a shawl or scarf. This wrap works up so fast with a larger hook and slightly thicker worsted yarn. Make it as a gift or treat yourself!
The stitch sequence produces a nice slightly textured, solid fabric to keep your warm but it still has a light, airy feel due to the use of the bigger hook. Wear it with a shawl pin or make my easy Button Toggle to keep it closed and in place.
Thank you to our sponsor Red Heart Yarns, for providing the yarn for this project. I used Hopscotch yarn in the color Somersault, but you can choose from seven beautiful colors with pleasant color changes and variations as you work. This yarn is enjoyable to work with and produces a warm, thicker fabric without bulk. It is considered a #4 worsted yarn, but on the thicker side. Try it, I don’t think you’ll be sorry 🙂

For the beginning of row 4 it says to SCVST in first sc, do you skip the last DC of the previous row? Thanks so much. 🌝
PatternParadise says
Yes, you will start working in the first sc.
Judith Hegewald says
I’m crocheting the Mysteria Wrap and I am having a problem with the stitch count after row 11. The pattern states there should be 25 SCVST. Because rows 4 and 5 have the same stitch count (which is being repeated for rows 6-11, the total I get is 23. What am I doing wrong?
PatternParadise says
In Row 4 you are actually increasing by one SCVST because it states to work one in the first sc – that is the first sc of the SCVST in the previous row, so if you follow the instructions as written you will increase one SCVST for each repeat. Hope that helps.
Fran Sherwood says
Love the pattern as well as the button toggle. I would have never thought of this on my
own, and it is a clever way to make something reusable on another scarf or shawl.
