Pin the Celtic Weave in Rounds Tutorial for later!
The Celtic Weave Stitch is one of my favorites. It has also been referred to as the diagonal weave and interweave stitch. Whatever you call it, it creates a beautiful, thick texture that looks stunning!
As gorgeous as this stitch is, it’s not the easiest one to learn. So I hope you find this video tutorial helpful. You will also find a photo tutorial below. I hope you enjoy learning this stitch, as the resulting texture is amazing.

Photo Tutorial: Celtic Weave Stitch in Rounds
This stitch is worked in multiples of 4.
First Round of Celtic Weave:
Ch 3,
*Skip 2 stitches, FPtrc in next 2 stitches,
FPtrc in the 2 skipped stitches*
repeat around, sl st to join in first FPtrc.
Second Round of Celtic Weave:
Ch 3, skip first 4 stitches, FPtrc in next 2 stitches,
(first 2 stitches made)
*working behind the posts just made, FPtrc in the last 2 skipped stitches, skip 2 stitches, FPtrc in next 2 stitches * repeat from * around, join in first FPtrc.
Third Round of Celtic Weave:
Ch 3, skip first 4 stitches, FPtrc in next 2 stitches,
*working in front of the posts just made, FPtrc in the last 2 skipped stitches, skip 2 stitches, FPtrc in next 2 stitches * repeat from * around, sl st to join in first FPtrc.
