Waves of Warmth Slouch
This slouch is a simple pattern that allows the beauty of this yarn to show through. I received a couple of balls of this new Red Heart Unforgettable Waves yarn and I couldn’t wait to put it to use and see how the colors rolled out. It’s a fun yarn with different thicknesses that give the finished project an interesting textural look and feel without any extra effort and I love the colors too!
For this slouch, I wanted the headband border to pop a bit, so I added it in a complimentary color using Red Heart Soft. I’m a little tired of pompoms so for this one I just did a curly, hanging tie, but of course you could do whatever you like, or nothing at all.
I would say the slouch on this hat is medium, so if you prefer more slouch, simply add repeats of the side rows. And I suppose you could shorten the side for more of a beanie effect too.
I hope you give this yarn a try and enjoy working with it as much as I have.

The BAnd instructions have me stuck too. They sure sound like you have to start all over with the second color thread and it is done singly. I think you better correct that on the pattern and reissue because it sure is confusing!
I’ll be happy to correct any error that is found. What error have you discovered?
I’m confused about the band. The last row of the hat says “fasten off” but I don’t see where it says to attach the new yarn for the band. What am I missing?
It’s a typo, there is no true fasten off at that point. You continue with the band, however, if you are doing a contrasting color for the band you may find it useful to fasten off the previous color and join the new color in the same spot.
Hi, I have a question regarding the pattern. For the band there is direction of [BPdc, FPdc]. Is this done in one stitch or one stitch after the other?
One stitch after the other and keep repeating to end.
