Spring Placemat
This placemat is a celebration of spring with pretty colors on a solid background. The center part is worked in basic single crochet but the sides have an interesting V Stitch that creates a zig zag effect when worked in multiple rows. I also added a little surface crochet striping for a fun effect. The placemat is a generous size allowing for bigger place settings.
I designed this placemat in #4 cotton worsted yarn, such as Lily Sugar n Cream, Red Heart Creme de la Creme or Premier Home Cotton. It works up very quickly and can be made in as many colors as you like — great for using up scraps of yarn!

Where’s the pattern you put on the front screen showing American girl doll crocheted clothes. Not some place mat. That’s just not right.
