Introducing The Outdoor Splendor Crochet Pattern
Clearly I love crochet, but I will admit I don’t always love those holes created by double crochets and even half double crochets, and they allow too much cold to get in!
I’ve been playing with different stitches that produce a more solid fabric and knit look.
I think I’ve achieved that with this set!
The hat comes in sizes from newborn to adult. I added a bow for the girls, but it looks great without for the boys too, in fact I originally designed this for a boy! The striping is not perfectly symmetrical for added interest and gives you a canvass to express a little color personality, but if you prefer, make it all solid.
The cowl/scarf crosses over in the front and buttons in place for extra warmth. Instructions include two sizes, one that should fit most kids through early teens and the other for adults, however, it is easy enough to customize the sizing if you need to.
I used Red Heart Soft for these sets but most worsted weights would work well.
