I can’t believe the summer is almost over and it is back-to-school time!
Here’s a quick little crochet pattern that’s perfect for a teacher appreciation gift. Make these little apples into a set of coasters
or put two together for a little pouch you can fill with goodies. They would even make terrific tree ornaments! Perfect for using up scraps of yarn too.

HI there, i LOVE these, ive given to my grand kids and need to make more now, lol, but is there a pattern for a pot holder? what i thought i could do it just make a few more of the increase rows? and then follow up with the other rows after that? what do you think?
Thank you for making this pattern so easy to follow and that its free.
Let me know if you think it can be made larger into a pot holder/
PatternParadise says
Happy to hear from you and glad you like the pattern. Hmm, a potholder sounds fun but I haven’t tested it. I think it may work and I’m interested to see how you make out.

Hi, I love the apple pocket, but I am struggling with the leaf and can not make it work. Is there anyway you can post a video of it for me? I sure would appreciate it.
PatternParadise says
I’m sorry, I don’t have a video at this time. 🙁

Hi, does round 7 start in the very next stitch once round 6 is done? Any tips on connecting red? Love this apple!
Thank you….
PatternParadise says
Yes, it starts in the very next stitch and you can join the red in any way you are comfortable. I usually join it in the last pass of the previous stitch.
